KEY LARGO FISHING REPORT

                                                     Key Largo Reef Fishing 10/08/11

Home from summer in Wyoming a few weeks now and back to running charters in the keys. Got out on the reef this past week a few times and found fast action and a good mixed bag of species. Fishing rock piles off key largo in 20 to 60 feet of water we got alot of snappers.

Muttons, nice mangroves, and yellowtails. grouper both red and black are around as well. hogfish and porgies  are in the sand holes just off the rocks and ceros are in the chum line harassing the ballyhoo. Sharks, and cuda bending the live bait rods. Fishing shrimp and cut baits on light tackle and live ballyhoo on 25 lb spin is keeping the action going. Reef is on and should stay that way threw the winter months in to early spring. With short travel time to the fishing grounds this is a great 1/2 day trip.
